Responsibilities

  • Assist with event logistics (schedules, site coordination, staffing)

  • Communicate with participating units, directors, judges, and event staff

  • Help with registration and general event planning

  • Provide on-site support at competitions

  • Maintain records, policies, and procedures

  • Support training and help cover administrative duties during multisite weekends

About the Role

The Assistant Events Manager works under the Administrative Director and the IPA Board to help keep operations running efficiently and professionally. This position will strengthen communication, improve turnaround time on tasks, and provide needed support as IPA continues to grow.

This position offers a contract stipend starting at $2,000 per season, with the final amount based on workload and availability. Benefits not included.

Requirements

  • Seasonal January-April 2026

  • Must be available on Saturdays throughout the 2026 Season (Feb-March)

  • Ability to travel to event sites throughout the season

  • Excellent digital communication skills and be comfortable using online communication tools, basic Office software and willingness to learn functions on web-based platforms.

  • Familiarity with pageantry arts and event operations is preferred - IPA, WGI, DCI, BOA, etc.

Season Intern: Event Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event logistics - video, tabulation, awards prep, etc.

  • Provide on-site support to the host at competitions Feb-March

  • Assist on-site event coordinator as needed

Event coordinator interns are a part of the event staff, assisting in multiple areas of contests throughout the 2026 season. This is a great way to stay connected to the activity!

This position is a 1 season unpaid internship. Mileage will be reimbursed for any travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style

  • Monitor engagement, respond to messages/comments, and help build community interaction

  • Capture content on-site at 2026 season contests

  • Stay current with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates

About the Role

Social Media interns are a part of the event staff, assisting in capturing and creating social media contest at contests throughout the 2026 season. This is a great way to stay connected to the activity and to gain experience in social media marketing.

This position is a 1 season unpaid internship. Mileage will be reimbursed for any travel.
