Sean Widmer graduated from Greenwood High School in 2009, after winning two ISSMA State Championships (2006, 2007) and one PSCW IPA State Championship (2008). While attending Indiana State University, he quickly began to work with high school percussion section, including helping to restart the indoor percussion program at Terre Haute North High School. In 2011, Terre Haute North was the PSAA State Runner Up. 

In 2012, Sean was hired as Director of Percussion at Greenfield-Central and durin gthat time has effectively doubled the percussion studio from grades 7-12, including starting a private lesson program that today consists of over 30 students. The Greenfield-Central Percussion Section has been a WGI PSA finalist from 2014-2016 and was the 2016 IPA PSA State Runner-Up. His responsibilities also include assisting the concert bands and marching band, the 2016 ISSMA Class B Runner-Up. 

Sean is also active in percussion arrangement and composition, having written and consulted for many high school percussion groups over the years including Pike, Northeast Dubois, Basic (Nevada), Vincennes-Lincoln, Beech Grove, and Danville High Schools.

Sean is currently pursuing a Music Education degree with the goal of becoming a band director soon.
